This isn’t another curriculum to keep up with, it’s a 4-week course designed to make learning fun again. By blending simple dog training activities with hands-on science, your child will discover biology, psychology, and problem-solving in a way that sticks. Perfect as a supplement to any homeschool program or as an after-school activity, it turns everyday moments with your dog into lessons kids actually look forward to.

Over the years, we’ve worn a lot of hats — parents, dog trainers, teachers, even homeschoolers. But the one thing that kept standing out to us was how kids light up when learning feels real. For seven summers we ran a camp, and we noticed the same thing again and again: the more hands-on the activity, the more kids enjoyed themselves… and the more they actually learned. Their confidence grew, they solved problems better, and they weren’t afraid to try new things.
That’s what gave us the push to create this course. Not another heavy curriculum, but something families could use to bring more fun into their day. We started with dogs because animals are close to our hearts, and because most families already have a dog waiting to be part of the fun. This is a simple way to spark curiosity, build confidence, and strengthen the bond between kids and their pets — while sneaking in science along the way. And it’s just the first step in a bigger vision to make learning something kids look forward to again.

We believe every child and family has untapped potential waiting to be discovered. Our mission is to empower youth to see what they’re truly capable of, and to give families the tools to make learning exciting, meaningful, and freeing.
Through hands-on experiences, curiosity-driven activities, and real-world application, we help kids build confidence, chase their dreams, and think beyond the box. Families who step into this journey often find the ripple effects go far beyond school, opening doors, strengthening bonds, and sparking a lifelong love of learning.
This first course is designed with kids in mind, but it’s only the beginning. Our vision is a full family approach, with opportunities for youth and adults alike — so learning, growth, and curiosity become a way of life for everyone under your roof.
If lessons sometimes feel a little flat, or if science just isn’t clicking the way you’d like, you’re not alone. Every parent has days where learning turns into another box to check. That’s where this 4-week course comes in. It’s not meant to replace your homeschool program — it’s a simple, fun addition that helps kids stay curious and engaged. For a few weeks, you’ll get to trade the eye rolls and worksheets for laughter, hands-on activities, and a new way of looking at science together.

Here’s how it works:
Each week, your child and their dog learn something new together and behind each activity is a piece of science.
Week 1 – Observation & Body Language: Notice how dogs “speak” with tails, ears, and posture.
Week 2 – Tricks & Brain Games: Teach fun tricks while learning how animals (and people) really learn.
Week 3 – Dog Detectives: Play hide-and-seek scent games and explore the power of canine senses.
Week 4 – Confidence Builders: Practice simple challenges that boost confidence in both kids and dogs.
Bonus – Dog Emotions: Explore happiness, fear, and excitement — and build empathy along the way.
Why this way?
Kids remember what they do, not just what they read. By keeping lessons short, hands-on, and connected to their dog, learning feels natural and fun. This isn’t a full curriculum — it’s a 4-week spark that’s easy to add into your homeschool or after-school routine.

This course shows what we’re all about. We’re not here to pile on worksheets or busywork — we want kids to get excited about learning and for families to enjoy the process together. Between us, we’ve been parents, teachers, homeschoolers, and dog trainers, so we’ve seen how much more kids take in when lessons are hands-on and connected to real life. We started with dogs because it’s a natural and fun way to spark curiosity, but our bigger vision is to create programs that inspire kids and parents alike. Tailored Trainers is about building confidence, curiosity, and connection that families can carry with them long after a single course ends.
You don’t have to overhaul your homeschool plan to bring more fun and curiosity into your child’s day. This 4-week course is a simple way to add excitement, hands-on science, and family connection — all with the dog you already love. It’s short, doable, and designed to make learning something your child looks forward to. Now is the perfect time to give it a try and see how much joy it can bring to your family’s routine.
We’ve tried different science curriculums, but this was the first time my kids were actually excited. The lessons were hands-on, the activities were creative, and it felt like real-life learning. We’ll definitely sign up for whatever comes next.

It wasn’t just my son learning — we all got involved. Training the dog together turned into family time, and I noticed my child’s confidence growing right along with our dog’s skills. It was simple, but it made a big difference in how connected we felt.

As a homeschool parent, I don’t have time to add big projects. This was perfect because it was short, fun, and easy to use. We could do it in the afternoon after other subjects, and it always felt like a break instead of more schoolwork.

This course completely changed the way my daughter looks at learning. She loved teaching our dog new tricks and couldn’t wait to log what she saw. I didn’t have to push her at all — she was the one reminding me it was time for the next lesson.
